We are Thomas and Rachel, the founders of Haus Nostromo. Friends for many years, we have spent the best part of the last decade playing music together in our band Esben and the Witch. Over that time a powerful and mysterious creative collaboration was forged and we find ourselves now, many years later, still exploring together. For anyone with a disposition for dark post rock then the six albums we made together are available to delve into in all the usual places.

We opened the doors of Haus Nostromo in the Spring of 2021 when touring was over and the world had shut down. We wanted to build a Wunderkammer to showcase other makers' work devoted to creating things of intrigue and beauty, as well as our own contributions; a collective if you will. An online emporium dedicated to seeking the ever elusive light in the dark, in an unstable world where art feels ever more invaluable. 

The Haus is a blend of everything we've come to value over the years, from Romanticism to community spirit, independence and creative expression to gothic art, folk tales and mysticism. We try and do everything ourselves, from curating the collection, designing and running the store to packaging and sending every order. Now, as things have grown, with a little help from our friends...

As well as curating a selection of other peoples wares, we've also created and published a few of our own. From Tarot Celestio to Wanderweg zine, the records of Esben and the Witch to Rachel's illustration. All these things are at the heart of what we do and what continue to inspire us to forge ahead with the Haus in these strange times.
